I’m sorry I haven’t been online much this week but it was Simon’s birthday Friday. I worked all week and celebrated him all weekend.
Happy Birthday! The people he lives with woke him up with a song and breakfast.
My boss let me have a day off Thursday so I could help him prepare dinner for his family. We made slow-cooked chicken with lemon and a nice salad and had fruit and cake for dessert. It was all very delicious and nice and both the wine and company was fine! (I love his family..)
Friday (his real birtday-day) Simon and his band Dumb Stuff (Tower of Power cover band) played at HeadQuarters so we celebrated him there Lykke and I. The music was so good that I am thinking of inviting my parents to their next concert.
Saturday we did nothing but go to a sushi bar and eat till we couldn’t eat. A drank a whole coke – a thing I haven’t done since I was a child. I had planned to go home saturday but at four o clock I found out that the last bus had went .. so I stayed with Simon till today.
And my family was delighted to see me!! – A package from Summerbird had arrived; I’d sent them an e-mail and explained my situation and how I cut my finger of one of their glasses – so a huge(!) cardboard box waited for me. Inside it there was chocolate. Loads of chocolate. I’m planning my next “accident” with summerbird already (not really..). They’d sent their almonds covered with chocolate and raspberry, lemon, liquorice and praliné and something called “flødeboller” which can be explained as marshmallows covered with chocolate and chocolate sushi and chocolate nutella-something and their summerbird butterflies (butterflies in danish are called sommerfugle, and if sommerfugle were translated directly into english, it would be summerbirds). We ate fresh baked buns with the nutella on and flødeboller and watched “Lykke”.
Now I will go to bed; I’m going to work tomorrow.
