Plums in Madeira

When I’ve made my Plums in Madeira I know it’s Christmas. I made the recipe 3 years ago and they’ve been a success ever since.

Cover the prunes with Madeira, Marsala or regular port wine and blend the mixture with a hand blender. Let it rest for a day in the refrigerator.

Put marzipan around the blended prunes and cover with melted dark chocolate.

Use sprinkle or almonds as garnish.

I’m so sweaty!! Tonight Anne and Mads had an open art night that ended with extreme sober dance. I, off course, was dancing till my legs could not move and the sweat was dripping from my forehead. It was so much fun. Now I’m just looking forward to the party at Saturday; August and I bought wine and beers today driving in his lovely red car downtown to >>Mårslet city<<. Now I’ll go to sleep so I can be ready for drama classes tomorrow morning. Sleep tight.

The days since I arrived at Testrup have been insane. Moving all my things, saying hello to 100 strangers whom you know are going to be your best friends in the next four months, eating insanely well made food, sleeping, getting new routines, talking, talking, drinking coffee, talking, and then, in the end if there is more time left, missing my boyfriend. I’m tired, but I like it a lot.

I couldn’t fall asleep last night. I was too excited. And I woke up too damn early so I’m quite a monster right now. A monster with butterflies, no, bats in her stomach. Jesus, it’s today!
